Who can reschedule or cancel

The cancellation cutoff is set by your org admin (e.g. 24 hours before the session). Parents cannot reschedule or cancel inside that window — they need to contact the tutor or admin directly.

Rescheduling a session

As a tutor or org admin

  1. Go to Calendar in the sidebar.
  2. Click the session you want to reschedule.
  3. Select Reschedule.
  4. Pick a new date and time from the available slots.
  5. Confirm — the parent and student receive an automatic notification.

As a parent

  1. Go to Calendar in the parent portal.
  2. Click the session.
  3. Select Request reschedule and pick your preferred new time.
  4. The tutor receives a notification to confirm the new time.
If the new time is outside the tutor’s published availability, the reschedule request goes to the tutor for manual approval rather than confirming automatically.

Cancelling a session

As a tutor or org admin

  1. Go to Calendar and click the session.
  2. Select Cancel session.
  3. Add a reason (optional but recommended — the reason is included in the notification to the parent).
  4. Confirm.
The session is marked as Cancelled and removed from all calendars. If the session was already invoiced, the invoice is voided automatically.

As a parent

  1. Go to Calendar and click the session.
  2. Select Cancel (only visible if you’re within the cancellation window).
  3. Confirm.
If you try to cancel inside the cancellation cutoff period, the option will be greyed out. Contact your tutor or the org admin directly in those cases.
